During Amsterdam Art week Newhouse Gallery and Sandra invite you to step into their Liminal Nature space. Not quite a museum, and not quite your typical gallery. More like a living breath of fiber and glass. Waves of coral energy and threads of emotion. They invite you to lose yourself – and perhaps discover something unexpected. Here you see a small part of Nature’s Visual Sound – an installation where the sea breathes, textiles sing, glass flows and silence becomes visible.

      Amsterdam Art Week 2025 24 MAY 16:00 - 20:00

Join us for a festive evening as Santiago Pani invites you to co-create a collective mural during his live painting performance.

      17 June - 22 June 2025

In “Reflections,” Newhouse Gallery presents three female photographers whose

work explores the act of seeing — and being seen — through fragmented, layered

perspectives. Works by Lotte Ekkel, Carlie Consemulder and Nanda Hagenaars.

  • Lotte Ekkel Wins Selection of Dutch Photography 2025

We’re proud to share that Lotte Ekkel has been recognized as a winner in the SO’25 – Selection of Dutch Photography 2025. Described by the jury as “pure poetry… highly atmospheric and solid as a rock,” her awarded series will be on view in the SO’25 online gallery and at Melkweg Expo from May 9–11.

Curious to see more of Lotte’s work? Get in touch for her full catalogue, or come discover new pieces with us at Kunstrai 2025.

  • What's happening at Newhouse

  • Newhouse gallery presents a curation contemporary art and collectible design, with a focus on women artists. Mick Nieuwenhuis started as an agent for women artists in 2021 to take part in bridging the gap between men and women in the art scene.

After attending a number of fairs from Amsterdam to Basel and Shanghai, she now opens the doors to her own space in Amsterdam presenting the works of Rive Roshan, Sanne Terweij, Lotte Ekkel, Nanda Hagenaars, Camille de Prêtre, Rick Tegelaar, Carlie Consemulder, Floor Merjenburg, Kaspar Dejong, Mickey Philips, Sandra Keja Planken, Santiago Pani and Studio Thusthat.

And the show wouldn’t have been the same if it wasn’t for our collaborations with Atkris studioSolid Nature, Tess van Zalinge and Nora Nora.
