The Chinese character Fu (福) means “blessing” or“good fortune.” When displayed upside down (fu dao), it sounds the same as the phrase meaning “fortune has arrived.” The reversal is deliberate — what appears inverted becomes a gesture of welcome In this image, turning becomes arrival; reversal becomes entry. The gesture suggests that fortune does not always approach directly — sometimes it comes through shifting perspective.
